Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy

Effective Date: August, 2025

A. PRIVACY POLICY

YIXIANG ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and personal data in accordance with applicable laws and digital platform policies. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how we collect, use, protect, and share personal data when you use our mobile application HyperClean AI ("the App").

By downloading or using the App, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the App.

We may update this Policy periodically to reflect technological, legal, or operational changes. Updates will be made available within the App, and we encourage you to review the Policy regularly.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to all users of the App and governs how personal data is processed in connection with the App’s features and related services. To use the App, you must meet the legal age requirements of your country of residence.

2. What Is Personal Data and What Do We Collect?

"Personal data" means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual. In the context of this App, we may collect the following categories of data:

  • Device Information: Basic data such as device model, OS version, language, region, and device ID may be collected for functionality and troubleshooting. This data is not used to personally identify users.
  • Usage Data: We may collect anonymized statistics about how you interact with the App (e.g., feature usage like duplicate image scanning). All scanning occurs locally on your device; no content is uploaded.
  • Location Data (Approximate): We may derive generalized location data (e.g., country, region) from your IP address to optimize performance and analytics. We do not collect precise GPS coordinates.
  • In-App Purchase Email: When you purchase a premium plan, we may store your email address for subscription management and feature access verification.
  • Advertising Identifiers:
    Subject to your consent, we may make use of your device’s advertising identifier (such as the Google Advertising ID) to help us understand the performance of marketing campaigns or measure non-personalized advertising reach. This identifier is never linked to your name, contacts, or any other identifying personal information. We may allow access to this data by trusted analytics and advertising services (such as Google AdMob or AppLovin) for attribution or performance analytics.
  • Contacts Data (Optional & Temporary Use):
    Permission Used: android.permission.READ_CONTACTS
    Purpose: If you enable the "Find Duplicate Contacts" feature in the App, we temporarily access your device's contacts only on your device to scan and display duplicate entries. This data is never stored on our servers, shared with third parties, or used for any purpose beyond the immediate cleanup process.
    Data Flow: All contact scanning occurs locally on your device. No contact names, numbers, or email addresses leave your phone.
    User Control: This permission is optional. You can deny access in your device settings and still use other App features.
  • Cookies and Related Technologies: See the Cookie Policy section for details.

3. Legal Basis for Data Processing

We process your personal data based on one or more of the following lawful grounds:

  • Your explicit consent (e.g., granting permissions or accepting advertising tracking);
  • Our legitimate interests in improving app performance, analytics, or preventing misuse;
  • Compliance with legal obligations under applicable laws or regulations;
  • Fulfillment of a contract if you subscribe to premium services.

4. Why We Use Your Data

Your data may be processed for the following purposes:

  • To operate and maintain the App’s core functionalities;
  • To enable device scanning, cleaning, and storage optimization features;
  • To enable on-device contact management features (e.g., duplicate contact scanning), only when explicitly requested by you and processed entirely locally;
  • To manage premium subscriptions and payment verification;
  • To respond to customer support inquiries;
  • To improve performance through anonymized usage statistics;
  • To protect against fraud or security threats;
  • To support basic advertising and analytics, subject to your preferences.

5. How Long Do We Keep Your Data?

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes stated in this Policy or as required by applicable law. After that, data will be securely deleted or anonymized. Anonymous aggregate analytics data may be retained indefinitely for statistical purposes.

6. Sharing Your Data

We may disclose limited personal data to trusted external parties, only when such sharing is necessary to operate the App or comply with legal requirements. These parties include:

  • Platform Services – We may share information with platforms like Google or Apple, solely for crash analytics, app distribution, or verifying in-app purchases;
  • Third-Party Vendors – Analytics and performance services (e.g., Firebase, Amplitude), monetization tools (e.g., AppLovin), and subscription processors (e.g., RevenueCat) may access anonymous or pseudonymous identifiers needed for functionality;
  • Contact Data Isolation – We do NOT share or transmit your contacts data to any third parties, including analytics or advertising providers. This data remains strictly confined to your device;
  • Payment Processors – If applicable, email or transaction metadata may be transmitted for billing verification purposes;
  • Regulatory Authorities – In rare cases, if legally required (e.g., subpoenas, court orders), we may disclose specific data;
  • Cross-border Transfers – If personal data is processed outside of your country, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), where mandated by applicable data protection laws.

7. Data Security

We apply appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Data is encrypted during transmission and stored securely using reputable infrastructure providers.

8. Use of Google API Services

Certain features of the App may connect with Google services (e.g., accessing files in your Google Drive). If you choose to use these features, we follow strict guidelines to protect your data:

  • We request only the minimum level of access required for the App to function properly;
  • We never use your Google data for targeted ads, behavioral profiling, or commercial redistribution;
  • We do not share or expose your Google-related data to external parties unless explicitly required by law;
  • We fully adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use provisions, to ensure compliance and transparency.

B. COOKIE POLICY

This section describes how we use cookies and similar tracking technologies within the App.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device to support essential App operations and improve your user experience. Though traditional cookies are more common in websites, equivalent identifiers may be used in mobile apps.

Types of Cookies and Technologies We May Use:

  • Essential identifiers – Used for enabling key App functions and maintaining session integrity;
  • Preference storage – Used to remember settings such as your preferred language;
  • Analytics trackers – Help us measure usage patterns (anonymously) and understand how users interact with different features;
  • Third-party tools – Services such as Firebase, Google Analytics, or ad SDKs may store limited technical identifiers on your device.

Managing Cookies and App Permissions:

You can control how certain identifiers are stored and used by:

  • Adjusting privacy or advertising settings in your device's system settings;
  • Resetting your Advertising ID;
  • Disabling access to location or tracking permissions in your phone settings.

Please note that disabling certain permissions or IDs may impact your experience, but core App functionality will continue to work.

Third-Party Tracking Technologies:

Some third-party SDKs or services integrated into our App may use their own methods of tracking (e.g., ad attribution). These providers are governed by their own privacy policies and only operate within boundaries set by platform rules and user consent.

Retention Periods

Cookies and identifiers are typically stored for durations ranging from immediate session-only storage to 12 months maximum, depending on their purpose and technological requirements.
